Mission Statement

  1. To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows and obedience trials and any other AKC event.

  2. To educate the public generally as to the uses, habits, characteristics, advantages, training, care, companionship and treatment of German Shepherd Dogs.

  3.  To urge members and breeders to accept, know and understand the Breed standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which German Shepherd Dogs shall be judged.

  4.  To promote the use of the German Shepherd Dog in civil defense, armed forces, police duty, guide dogs for the blind, rescue service and gratuitous obedience exhibition for charitable institutions.
